Seagate suit against STEC could raise SSD prices

Seagate has filed a lawsuit against STEC for several products, including SSDs and some DRAM devices, claiming they infringe as many as four of its patents. A victory in the suit could result in the Seagate winning cross-licensing agreements and collecting royalties not only from STEC, but also from other SSD makers.
