Wordpress.com image upload problems... [Simon""¢Caricatures and Cartoons""¢Ellinas]

All of a sudden the newly- designed wordpress.com blogs have stopped allowing images to be uploaded from my hard disk. I have to go the tortuous route of inserting them from my server which presents its own set of minor irritations and takes longer. Is anyone else having this problem and have they got a solution?
